Miami, FL (October 20, 2023) — Rising pop star, Kelly Centeno, releases today her potent pop-rock ballad “Seemed to Forget,” further demonstrating her artistic versatility, mature lyricism, and stance to redefine musical boundaries.
Produced by Libniel Gigato and written by Centeno, “Seemed to Forget” narrates the story of a toxic relationship where one person does everything in their power to please their partner. “I turned it into a Bonnie & Clyde scenario because I wanted the listeners to take what she is doing, giving herself in ways she doesn’t feel comfortable doing, as a crime,” said the 16-year-old singer-songwriter of her new single.
The music video—directed by Fabian Occiso and filmed in Miami with the support of the Hialeah Police Department—” reiterates what I’m trying to say by showing that all of the pain will be brought onto her, all of the punishments of the relationship. It captures the heartbreaking story the song is trying to display and how it started,” described Centeno.
